Compared with the existing halogen lamp, which emits light through its light 
emitting system (filament) from DC 12 volts, the HID lamp does not need to 
replace filament required due to damage.

Additional advantages of the HID lamp are a 50% reduction in power consumption,
3 times the luminosity of conventional lamps, and 5 times increase in life span 
over existing halogen lamps. Since the HID system consumes only 35W of power, 
it contributes to low fuel consumption and greater efficiency and safety of cars.
